Universal On The Road!

Some of our favorite things to do is interact with our customers, and some of the best ways to do that is at conventions and trade shows and other events! This year we have participated in three events so far and have met some amazing people! January we held our first booth at the Northern Green Show in St Paul Minnesota. With over ten thousand attendees it was incredible and awesome to see just how vast our industry touches. Everything from construction and manufacturing to agriculture and landscape, trenchers and ditch work to snow removal and land development, and so much more. Not only was Northern Green a first for us but so were the other two events! February found us at the Central Minnesota Farm Show and March was the Midwest Farm and Power Show! These were great opportunities to connect with our local farmers! We got to see some awesome machines, tractors and combines bigger than a house, new age technology like drones the size of a dirt bike flying over farmers fields like the old crop dusters, and environmentally friendly resources that are changing the game in agriculture. Solar and wind power, remote control and drone tractors, electric vehicles, technology is truly amazing, but with all the new advancements we have made in the last decade one thing still remains strong. Diesel. And that’s our bread and butter. In the harsh winters of Minnesota with temperatures that can stay a constant negative for weeks at a time, diesel is your solution. Being able to show off our new line of Cummins powered Hyundai Construction Equipment and Cummins powered Autocar Truck Chassis, we had great reception from our local farm communities. Autocar, having been around since before World War 2, has proven to maintain its powerhouse status of a leading American made truck while Hyundai has been a welcome addition in the North American world of construction equipment. Bringing incredibly competitive prices and an industry leading 3 year warranty, Hyundai has definitely made a splash here in Minnesota and here with Universal Truck. Wrenches On Wheels 2023 – A Smashing Success!

What a day it was, a beautiful brisk morning, good people, good food, beautiful scenery and a huge collection of sweet bikes! With over 40 people and bikes that came out to Wrenches on Wheels 3rd annual run it was everything we had hoped for and more! Our customer appreciation run departed around 9am and a few hours and a few hundred miles later we had covered Minnesota and Wisconsin and stopped a few times in between to catch up with friends old and new! We are so thankful for everyone who came out and made this an amazing day and we can’t wait for our ride for next year! To top things off here is a video that highlights our day and captures the memories and true essence of Universal Truck and our continued relationships with those who make these things possible. Our customers!!!

How did Wrenches on Wheels get started?

In 2020, a group of team members decided to go on a small family and friends motorcycle ride one Saturday afternoon. We all had so much fun, we decided to make this an annual event, where each year we have had more and more motorcycle enthusiasts join! This incredible event has become a cherished tradition, and this year promises to be even more thrilling. A special thank you to Peter Thayer – because without him, this ride would not be possible.

Event Details:

Date: Saturday, September 9th
Start Time: 10:00-10:15 AM
Starting Point: Split Rocks in Wyoming, Minnesota
Total Ride Distance: 220 miles (round trip)
Route: We’ll cruise through the picturesque landscapes- passing through the charming town Pine City, crossing the Minnesota/Wisconsin border to Danbury, Wisconsin; making our way through of Spooner, Wisconsin, and return to our starting point.

What to Expect:

Scenic Majesty: Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the open road as we embark on this epic journey.
Family and Friends: This event is all about camaraderie! Bring your loved ones for a day filled with adventure and memories.

Universal Truck Service launches new website

We’re excited to announce the launch of the new Universal Truck Service website. UTS partnered with MJ Kretsinger Digital to create the new website. “We’ve needed a website refresh for such a long time, and we finally have a site we can be proud of. Our company has experienced tremendous growth since we first opened our doors 20 years ago. Our employees and our customers are amazing! This website should serve them well, and enable us to showcase everything that our company has to offer. We couldn’t be more excited!”, said Samantha Henry.

The website was built to automatically respond and fit with desktop or mobile devices, and includes a robust WordPress content management system that will enable UTS to maintain the website, add new pages, and scale the site as the company grows. “WordPress has revolutionized the web space by making site maintenance easy and affordable.”, said Mike Kretsinger, the founder of MJ Kretsinger. “Our goal was to give the UTS team a branded website they could be proud of. Now, they finally have the tools they need to publish new content and keep the UTS website fresh for years to come.”

MJK is also collaborating with Truck Paper, the company that manages the UTSales website, to integrate the new UTS website with the Truck Sales website. “This will give us the opportunity to highlight the large inventory of trucks, trailers, and equipment we sell across both of our websites. As we update our inventory on our sales site, the trucks featured on the homepage of the new UTS website will also update”, said Samantha.

MJK plans to provide ongoing assistance to the UTS team with marketing and promoting the websites to businesses in the midwest. “Universal Truck Service has a strong brand and presence, and a great future. So many people are already familiar with the great service that is provided by UTS, and we want to help spread the word. This website will play a pivotal role in the continued growth and success of UTS. We are grateful for our partnership with Samantha, Mike and Tom at UTS. They have been a dream to work with, and we look forward to a bright future together with UTS.”
